Here at cvfree church, we know that being a Christ follower is about much more than just meeting for an hour once a week. With our Growth Group and Life Group offerings, ministries, & support group (scroll down for S.O.A.R.), we have something for all ages and stages of faith walks.

Growth Group Offerings

A growth Group focuses on specific content that coincides with the Bible. In a Growth Group we are building fellowship with a community of believers, while exploring, discussing, debating, and learning on a level that is different from a sermon or reading on one’s own. While learning is a key aspect, the main goal is how to use that knowledge and apply it toward transforming ourselves into better believers and followers of Christ.

Flashpoint - Youth

Flashpoint is a Youth Group focused on grades 6-12 in our community. The purpose is to spread the word of God through worship, discussion, prayer, fun and games! The group meets in conjunction with City Church. Please contact us for date and time details.

Life Group Offerings

Being part of a Life Group is more than just connection with church attendees, Pastors, and friends. It is about building a deep and meaningful relationship with other Christians to establish a more personal level of connection and help one another be more like Jesus. Life groups meet on a monthly basis and are focused on simply doing life together. Complete a connect card to express your interest.

Visitation Team

Our Visitation Team seeks to ensure that no one is overlooked or lonely, maintaining contact with those who are ill, recovering medically, or shut in

Worship Team

A team of musicians dedicated to leading cvfree in worship through music with a biblical foundation, understanding that it puts us on the spiritual frontlines and serves to prepare us for God’s Word.

Prayer Team

The Prayer Team is passionate about being on the spiritual frontlines, praying for revival, for our leaders, for our church, and for our community.

Helping Hands

In connection with a local organization, Helping Hands, this outreach collects donations of basic food and hygiene items to share with those in need from our community. For more information about Helping Hands, check out Helping Hands Norwich on Facebook

Prom Closet

The Prom Closet was initiated by a high school senior to assist youth in Chenango County.  This ministry helps those in need to borrow prom dresses and accessories. Visit @CVFree Prom Closet on Facebook

S.O.A.R. Support Group

SOAR is not your ordinary 12-step recovery group.  As you journey through the twelve steps of God’s Plan for your life, you will discover:

  • That God has a plan to deal with the root problem of your addiction.
  • That God is not mad at you or disappointed… He knows what is wrong and is ready to address it.
  • A community of compassionate people ready to help you, not judge you.
  • That real, true, lasting freedom is possible for you.
